T.R.O.T. Annual Banquet & Awards held Monday, November 22, 2004
CENTRAL MAINE - Our season has come to an end and what a season, with (19) trail rides including (2) overnights in Sherman for a total of 240 miles, driving clinic, all trophy horse show and the trail trials. The club would like to thank the following members for hosting a ride in the year 2004; Linda Archer (6 rides), Rita & Roy Brooks (4 rides), Betty Davis (2 rides), Sue Manson (2 rides), Amy Beem, Sondra Day, Tim Briggs, Louise Townsend, Gini Ernst, Marcia Meagher and Pam Logue. We would like to encourage more members to host a ride in the year 2005.

On November 20th, T.R.O.T. hosted the annual banquet at Oriental Jade in Bangor. The following members donated door prizes, Linda Archer (vet wrap & apple jolly ball), Sue Manson (hoof picks & gloves), Betty Davis (horse jar filled with mints), Sondra & Robert Day (felt hats), and Tim Briggs (lead lines).

As T.R.O.T. does every year, T.R.O.T. recognized members for the miles that they have accrued as a horse/rider combination. The high mileage horse/rider combination for 2004 went to Linda Archer riding Impressive Class Act for 230 miles and was awarded a leather halter with an engraved nameplate. Also recognizee, Linda Archer, Betty Davis and Marcia Meagher for reaching a milestone, accumulating over 1,000 miles since 1997 per rider. Linda Archer rode 1,036 miles on various horses and was awarded an insulated saddlebag. Betty Davis rode 1,044 miles on (2) horses and was awarded a leather halter with an engraved nameplate. Marcia Meagher rode 1,161 miles on (2) horses and was awarded a plaque with the pictures of her horses. We would also like to recognize Betty Davis for another milestone, Betty has accumulated 1,034 miles on Dansu Repete Elite over a period of several years. Betty received a nice wool cooler embroidered with T.R.O.T. 2004 (1,034 miles). Congratulations Betty and Dansu Repete Elite. The following items were also discussed at the banquet:
1. The club voted to host the sleigh rally in 2005. The rally will be held at the Beem Farm in Palmyra. The club voted to hold the sleigh rally on the 2nd Saturday in February and an alternate day of the 3rd Saturday in February.
